Lifetime guaranteed headphones
I bought a set of headphones from ICC Connections in the TA at Harbor creek. They turned out to be junk and the wire would eventually short out. No problem they had a lifetime guarantee. The second time I replaced them they developed a $10 restocking fee. Then when I tried to replace them for the fourth time. Suddenly the lifetime guarantee is no more. If this has happened to you E-Mail me, I have been exploring the possibility of a Class action Law suit. We as consumers won't get diddly, but we will ahve the satisfaction of knowing they are paying for lawyers when it would have probably been cheaper to just keep their promise.

In a perfect world I would carry around a lead weighted piece of thick hemp rope. I could use it for two good purposes. First would be to knock out fog lights in the trucks at truck stops, it seems that those with fog lights feel they have to leave them on all the time, even on clear nights on two lane roads. By knocking out the fog lights the life I save may be my own. Secondly, I would use it to to whap every idiot I see that goes into a toilet stall to uninate and does not put the seat up. There ain't much sense in going through the trouble of knocking out fog lights to stay alive if I have to clean off the toilet seat every time I have to use it. I expect life to be more civilized than that.

Where are they now, those people I met, way back in ‘76
I had my van, a few broken dreams, and a need for a reality fix.
Wichita Kansas and the Air Force base, the MP’s who always got high.
There was a moment I’ll never forget, I saw fire way up in the sky.
I moved on to Phoenix, and into a campground , it was the time of my life.
I met Joe, and that Skinner dude, plus Joe’s most wonderful wife.
We lived in vans, in tents, and school buses, we drank a whole lot of beer,
We gathered each night around a campfire, for times of laughter and cheer.
I moved on from there to Pelican Point, the west coast and ocean sunsets,
I sat many nights on the beach all alone, in life that’s as good as it gets.
I had finished my quest, and I wanted to live, I had gone there to commit suicide.
Far from the end I was beginning again, my problems not soul had died.
That was when I heard Baker Street, such a sad song about going home,
I packed up my things and started driving up 101 watching the ocean foam.
She was tall and good looking with her thumb in the air, I stopped she got in my van.
Seattle was where she wanted to go, to me it was a good plan.
I dropped her off and went to Tacoma, I visited some family and friends,
A week or so later it was time to move on, I needed to make some amends,
I had left people that I thought didn‘t matter, who I found that I truly loved dearly,
I had to get home and go on with my life, that is what I saw clearly.
It has it been 28 years, full of passionate feelings, and yes I’ve had plenty of strife,
Since that wild summer I spent as a hippy and had decided to Call it a life.
What I have learned in my wizened old age, is that when push comes to shove,
The only thing that makes life worth living is faith and a whole lot of love.

Listen my children and you shall hear,
About driving a truck through out the year....
I'll start with the springtime when everything's new,
The leaves, and the flowers and the animals too.
The weather is warming and the rain it does fall,
But after the winter I don't mind it at all.
Then come the summer the weather gets hot,
The days are much longer I like it a lot.
There is a lot of construction so the highways get fixed,
But the backups are long so my feelings are mixed.
Then comes the fall just like it is now,
When I see natures beauty I can only say WOW!
All the reds and the oranges, the browns and yes, yellow,
I thank the creator I am a fortunate fellow.
Last comes the winter so pretty with snow,
When it gets slick I have to drive slow.
I really don't mind it's what I must do,
And soon it will be springtime when everything's new.

She was a pretty young thing, I did like her smile,
I was flattered that she stopped to say hi,
In a short time I knew her profile,
Her a lot lizard, and me a big guy.
I do admit the temptation was strong,
Wild fantasies played in my mind,
What could be so horribly wrong,
If to each other we tried to be kind.
Please understand I am getting old,
And she really did peak my desire,
She might become a memory of gold,
She just might rekindle my fire.
Then I remembered Judy my wife,
Has it really been 20 some years,
She has been there through all of the strife,
Together we conquered our fears.
I looked at the girl with a different eye,
So pretty and so full of giving,
This was a girl only attempting to try,
To avoid the pain of going on living.
I know it’s judgmental to consider it such,
Otherwise though I would be so confused,
I’m sure it’s rare she feels a loving touch,
And more often is somewhat abused.
I bid her farewell, said thanks but I’ll pass,
She gave me a beautiful smile,
As she walked away not at all crass,
It’s was my wife’s phone that I did dial.
When I heard my wife’s voice I almost cried,
All the memories came cascading back,
I told her I loved her and with that I sighed,
Her love again had kept me on track.

My life was in my mirrors as I left home last time,
Everything I live for, everything that’s mine.
I could see wife was smiling when she waved goodbye,
As she turned to walk away I am sure I saw her sigh.
I saw the sunset in my mirrors, when I hit the road last night,
All 18 wheels are rollin’ I’ll be drivin’ all dang night.
With 40 tons I’m barely legal, I’ve got to be on time.
There’s a factory dependin’ on me not to close their line.
City lights in my mirrors, they’re such a pretty sight,
I beat the rush hour traffic, and less idiots out at night,
I need some coffee and a break, I need to stay alert,
Just one mistake outside the lines and someone’s gonna get hurt..
Bright lights in my mirrors, it’s hard to see the road,
Inconsiderate drivers who just don’t know the code.
They cut me off and hem me in they test my driving skills,
Sometimes it seems they do it only for the thrills.
The loading dock in my mirrors I made it with time to spare,
But now I know the union worker doesn’t really care.
My appointment is set at 4:00 am, not 3:45 you know,
If I ask them to please start early they put their speed on slow.
The sunrise in my mirrors means I am headed home,
I have to wait to call my wife the cell phone is on roam,
I can’t wait to hold her close and tell her of my love,
Life is as it should be and I thank the lord above.
